Located next to a famous river and really close to the metro, this hotel provides beautiful views. Rooms are clean and spacious, with Wi-Fi and adequate facilities. the breakfast is good and there are nice dining options, even for halal food. A nice walkway by the river is available, along with boat trips and bike rentals.
Some maintenance issues like old bathroom tiles and outdated hairdryers bring down the overall experience.

To be honest I can't think of anything that I liked about the hotel.
The lack of English was frustrating. There was no restaurant and nothing nearby which left you wondering what to do for breakfast each morning.Even though the website advertises 12 restaurants. I was told at the front desk that they were being refurbished. The rooms were not clean and the bed was the hardest that I have ever slept on in my life. The sheets did not fit, so you woke up each morning on a bare mattress. And the pillows smelled of mold. Being over charged at the end of my stay was the cherry on top. I wish now that I had read the reviews on the website because now that I've checked it seems I'm not the only one with this experience. Do not book this hotel!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that holds a special place in history. Situated by the beautiful Pearl River, this hotel embraces its old-world charm and offers excellent value for money. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the prime location in the heart of the old city of Guangzhou.
All was in good order.

Having recently stayed at a hotel in the old city of Guangzhou, I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money I received. The prices were affordable and the hotel paid attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable stay. The location by the Pearl river bank was ideal, with scenic views and easy access to the main shopping area. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, even going above and beyond to cater to families with three beds in the rooms. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the hotel was tasty and satisfying.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic and there was no aspect that could be improved upon.

Great river views and convenient location close to shopping areas. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good facilities. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a musky old odor due to humidity, and some areas need remodeling and updating. The shower curtains are too short, causing water to flow out onto the bathroom floor, which creates mildew.

The hotel was actually an annex of Aiqun Hotel (second and third floors). The bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom was not very clean. Very disappointed.

I'm really not captious person. I thought I saw everything, but this was the worst of my life. We took room for 75$, which is quite well for this city, and expected normal, clean appartment. It is not 4 stars, as it was when we booked, not 3 stars as it now, it is less than 1! Very dirty and smelly carpet. In a leaked ceiling u can see 3 holes. The furniture all smudged with dirt including the "bathroom", where you feel distusted when touching door handles. There is a very small window where you can see another building in 1 meter, and huge amount of dirty water pipes, so you don't want to look there again. In addition, small amount of lighting make you feel like in bordello. I've been in a room 342.
Now I'm in nearest hotel for 44$ (sam q). With big window and everything clean. AIQUN should close.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel nestled on the banks of the Pearl River in the heart of a vibrant city. This hotel offered incredible value for money, with affordable prices that didn't compromise on quality. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was truly impressive, from the historic decor that honored its past to the friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic, and I can confidently say that everything was beyond satisfactory.

The best points of the Aiqun hotel, are its position on the Pearl River, close to great shopping areas, and many nightclubs directly behind the hotel. It is also only a 5 minute walk to Haizhu Square subway, The subway system is excellent, cheap and the easiest way to travel around Guangzhou due to gridlock traffic, especially during peak hour.
It's old and dilapidated. The bath towels are of the poorest quality I have ever seen. The carpet in our room was old and dirty and was never vacumned during our stay, nor was the bed linen changed during our 5 day stay.

Nothing to compliment about Aiqun Hotel.
Below are the absolute displeased about the hotel:1)Upon arrival, they bring me to 3rd floor to book in cos was online order, then bring me to front desk again to register for key. 2) No sound proof and noise pollution when door open or close from neighbours. 3) Impolite staffs. Overall I think there is a merge of 3 stars and 2 stars hotel. Probably I was staying in 2 stars below, the staffs had settle their internal payment in front of me. Extremely disappointment with deceipt.
